By local pagan witch and author, Hannah E. Johnston PhD.
Recently returned from the US to her native Britain, Hannah has spent the last 15 years working with young people in earth-centered faiths, and has written a book about how we can raise like-minded, spiritually attuned young people! Taking a unique approach, Children of the Green focuses not solely on sharing the festivals and celebratory cycles of paganism, but also discusses the moral, ethical and practical issues of raising kids as pagans; from working with schools, handling family changes and crises and child development from a pagan. Witch, musician and mother, Hannah is a long-time pagan and passionate supporter of our next generation. She has led rituals and rites for families all over the world and has helped kids shape their own spiritual traditions. Currently a Child and Family Liaison Officer in the Pagan Federation and a blogger for Patheos, When not writing and running round with her kids, she can be found in her outhouse conjuring up a delightful song or two. She lives in the countryside outside Royston, UK.
“You don’t have to be a Pagan to benefit from Hannah Johnston’s magical child-rearing wisdom. Like a trusted friend, she gives us glimpses of her own parenting process, while sharing detailed information on everything from identifying your child’s elemental type to encouraging creativity to dealing with conflict—and much, much more. Children of the Green is a valuable resource for any parent who wants to raise healthy, happy children with love and respect for the earth.”
